What is Autónomotools, in one sentence?
Autónomotools is a platform full of helpful tools and resources for the self-employed (autónomos) in Spain.
Where do your figures come from?
From the primary sources: the BOE, AEAT's Manual práctico de Renta, the Seguridad Social's own tables, and each comunidad autónoma's published scale. You will find links to the original sources across the site.
What do I get from a Pro subscription?
You get full access to all tools, guides, calculators and how-to's currently on Autónomotools. You can store your numbers in your Autónomotools account, or just on your own machine. You can share calculations, download your data, and leave comments.
Are there any discounts?
Calculations under Spain's minimum wage (SMI) are free in all the calculators, including the paid ones.
What exactly is free, forever, with no account?
Every calculator on the site is free to use up to the minimum wage. If your net income (what you earn minus what you spend) is at or under the SMI, every calculator works in full, with no account and no card. Several other features are free at any income.
Why does my total differ from the price shown?
The price we show is the net price. The VAT/sales tax on top depends on where you are and whether you are buying as a business. The checkout shows your total before you pay. We felt that is the fairest way to do it: as an autónom@, you get the VAT/sales tax back, and we can offer the lowest possible price this way.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel from your account page, or from any Paddle receipt.
Where are my numbers stored: on my device or on your servers?
We offer both options. You can keep calculations in your own browser, or save them to your account if you have a Pro subscription.
Is Autónomotools a substitute for a gestor?
No, and we're not trying to be. The numbers presented here are for orientation and financial education. The calculators have been painstakingly tested, but they can still contain mistakes. They are not professional advice. Autónomotools was not programmed by a licensed gestor. Do talk to a licensed professional before making any life-changing decisions.
I need urgent help dealing with the tax office or Seguridad Social. Can you help me?
Usually, unfortunately, no: we are not licensed gestors or lawyers, and you may need to talk to such a person. For general English-language help and recommendations we recommend the Autónom@s & self-employed in Spain group on Facebook.
Is anything here professional tax or legal advice?
No. It is orientation and financial education, built carefully and tested hard, but it is still not advice and does not come with a professional's liability behind it. For 100% binding information, talk to a licensed gestor or lawyer.
Will future tools and features that you develop also be available in the pro subscription?
Yes - the plan is to grow the list of bite-sized tools like the pricing simulator or the hourly rate calculator, thus adding more and more value to an already very affordable yearly subscription.
Only if we were to develop very very big changes - features that are basically products of their own - we might introduce new pricing options to reflect the value that those products provide.
However, that will never change what you can access with your Pro subscription.
